Stephanie Kennedy

Attorney

Stephanie is a “double Billikin” having graduated from St. Louis University with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology.  She then returned for her law degree, graduating in 2013.  She has been practicing law in the St. Louis metro area ever since.  
 
Planning to save the world, Stephanie started out in family law and criminal defense.  She held the hands of hundreds of litigants during immensely uncertain times in their lives in her work with the Missouri Innocence Project and Legal Services of Eastern Missouri. After moving over to civil defense more than ten years ago, she continues working on behalf of those affected by the litigation process.  
 
Stephanie has worked for a small firm, a large firm, and in-house for a major insurance company. She has worked in all levels of defense – from small claims court to appellate law.  In civil defense, she has negotiated hundreds of positive settlements on behalf of her clients and first chaired many jury trials, with numerous defense verdicts. She is also certified in mediation and alternative dispute resolution. 
 
Stephanie takes pride in defending her clients, large and small.  She is inherently defense oriented. She listens, answers questions, and guides a client’s role in effectively defending a case.  She realizes the stress that comes with being a defendant in a lawsuit, and aims to be both a lighthouse and anchor in trying times. 
 
Stephanie is active in her children’s school and parish, and volunteers for Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Missouri. In her free time, she spends time with her husband, nine-year-old son, and five-year-old daughter.  She pretends to be an expert gardener, and to understand Minecraft and Roblox.
